What it is:

RHA® Collection Dermal Fillers

Did you know that starting in your 30's you lose 1cc (equal to the size of a blueberry) of facial volume per decade of life!? So, at 40 you may need 4 syringes of filler if you're wanting to fully make up for your volume loss. This loss of volume and bone density can lead to deeper-set static lines, wrinkles, and jowling leaving you looking tired and weathered. By strategically placing dermal filler into areas of the face, you can see a restoration in the volume that has been lost during the natural aging process, which in turn leaves you looking more youthful and rejuvenated.

Areas that may be considered when treating for volume loss include the cheeks, pyriform, marionette lines, lips, chin, jawline, and lips (just to name a few).

Dermal Airbrushing

Dermal airbrushing is a technique used at Apogee to treat fine lines and wrinkles including accordion lines (lines that appear when you smile and get etched in over time), perioral rhytids (lipstick/smokers lines), marionette lines, and chin dimpling and creases. This technique takes slightly more time and precision but the results are breathtaking. Dermal airbrushing is a great option for those who aren't quite ready for volumizing filler or are embracing the natural aging process but would like a few less lines on their face.

Why RHA® Collection?

The RHA® Collection of dermal fillers is not only the only FDA approved hyaluronic acid filler for dynamic wrinkles and folds, but it is also only available in select practices. Through its gentle manufacturing process that was developed in Europe, RHA® fillers were engineered to mimic the natural hyaluronic acid found in our bodies. By mimicking our natural hyaluronic acid, RHA® fillers are resilient yet adapt to facial movement resulting in a more natural looking result at rest and in motion.

Before your appointment:

A consult is required prior to booking a dermal filler appointment so that a thorough facial assessment can be completed, goals can be discussed, and a realistic timeline and budget can be outlined.

At your appointment:

Your injector will use ice packs and lidocaine cream to help numb the areas that are to be treated, in addition, the dermal fillers have lidocaine in them which help to numb the areas as well. For some areas, the use of injected lidocaine may also be an option. Your injector will then skillfully inject the agreed upon treatment areas, the time spent injecting depends on your anatomy and treatment plan that was agreed on, but your injector will be as gentle as possible.

After your appointment:

Though results are immediate, swelling will be present and will get worse over the first 24 hours. This is where your use of arnica and ice really comes to play! Patients sometimes forget that fillers are a medical treatment with associated downtime and risks, thus it is important for you to thoroughly review the pre and post treatment instructions and trust the process. Please visit the Aftercare tab for full aftercare instructions.
